Hello, i'm buying new VGA soon. I think about R9 290 Series without X in name. I found nice card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 Vapor-X Tri-X OC 4GB DDR5 (512-bit)(11227-04-40G). I think this is very new card on the market b'cos there is not much information about this card over internet and YT. It cost 464,40 € and Sapphire TRI-X OC costs 392 €. But Vapor-x has 1030/5600 and TRI-X 1000/5200. It is good card? it is worth to pay 70 € more for this card? it almost cost the same like R9 290X models.

It is only really better if you are overclocking it, even then there isn't much of a difference. It has a custom PCB and the cooler is slightly better.
You would be able to get 1030/1400 on a Tri-X without touching the volts so the higher stock clocks on the Vapor-X aren't really worth it either.

It's up to you whether you want to pay the extra but you are paying mainly for looks more than anything else.

There is a review for the Vapor-X on Kitguru by the way :)

I got 1125/1600 out of my Tri-X at only +25 on the core, was pretty easy. (I think I got godlike memory, seems high for a 290)

If you are planning on a crazy high overclock go for the Vapor-X, but otherwise its not worth it imo.
