Sapphire 6950 Dirt3 edition or Gigabyte gtx 560ti soc?

Hey guys, I was looking around and for my budget (£200) these are the two cards I came up with.

they are similarly priced at £199.99 for the 560 and £203 for the 6950

lack of physx on the 6950 will not be a problem as I can use my 460 for that

currently I'm kinda swaying towards the 6950 as it can be unlocked plus it has dirt3 and I really want that game

so can anyone convince me to get the 560 or is the 6950 the best deal?

the GTX560Ti TFII SOC is ALOT quieter than the HD6950, and draws less power overall

i had a hd6990 but swapped it got the 560 - much better

Depends... if you're going triple monitor, that specific 6950 could work. But yeah, stay away from reference cooler 69xx cards; hot chip and leaf blower cooler don't mix.

I think you should get the HD6950, I normally lean towards NVIDIA but when you get a game like DIRT 3 for free then its a good deal.

What other games are you playing or what other games do you want to play because each vendor plays different games better...

Well I'm playing crysis 2 and mirrors edge (although it won't load after the part I'm at just now) but I'm wanting to get skyrim and battlefield 3 later this year

oh and my friend wants me to get tf2 but that's not a demanding game

Besides that, KiiYzOo, go for the 560ti

better! why? i will tell you....

  1. shorter - it will fit in my CM storm scout without being twisted
  2. it's quieter - i would say 25% quiter
  3. draws less power
  4. has physx
  5. i dont use eyefinity
  6. obviously cheaper
  7. i can fold with it
  8. and the major reason - it works in lucidhydra (without buggy hacks)

simply put: "horses-for-courses"
