Sandy Bridge Upgrade

Seems like nothing but bad luck at the moment D44.. I hope it all gets sorted out.

Looks awesome at the moment though.

I can't wait to upgrade my rig from C2D to the i2500K

Thanks !

Yeah I'm not having a lot of luck with these things haha.

Still bummed about the gfx card I didn't have any problem with the scratch itself, but the chance of not getting a new one if I ever had to RMA it is too big of a gamble

I received my refund for the gfx card today.

Guess what, the gtx580 lightning is sold out at every one of the 24 shops carrying it in Holland.

Great...

Lol what's even better ? I'm talking single gpu cards btw.

No dual gpu cards with aftermarket coolers right ?

Apart from that overclocker that zip tied two cpu coolers to his 590 haha !

Received a new 580 Lightning today which is fully functional !

Had a problem with windows on recognizing 2Gb out of ny 2x4Gb RAM sticks. I posted a thread about this in the memory forum.

I had to reinstall windows to fix it.

Gonna play some games on it tomorrow !

Quite the sexy update. Naked RAM

, Corsair were really taking the piss with those Vengence heat spreaders. Ah hah, but you can indeed get the D14 tidier, unclip and rotate the fans 90°/180° to the rear so that the fan wires start/terminate behind the heatsink.

Yep i will tidy up all of the cables this weekend ! Got some 8 pin pci cables for the gfx card.

I also managed to crush one of the pins of my 24 pin extender ! No idea how I managed to do that haha.

I will try to get that single cable out and see if I can straighten it.

I am going to buy a 120Gb vertex 3 SSD and a HDD silencer in a few days, I might postpone the cable tidying till I get those.

Pictures will be uploaded once the case is nice and tidy !

Sorry for still not posting the pictures I promised.

I had another breakdown today, I was happily using my computer when I got a blue screen of death out of nowhere.

After restarting the computer wouldn't recognize my SSD. I had to plug it into a SATA2 port to get it recognized again.

After using the computer for a while I got the BSOD again. I had to plug it into another SATA2 port to get it recognized.

I am a half hour into SATA2 port number three now, it's only a matter of time before it will BSOD again.

So what's your guess, broken SSD or broken MoBo ?
