OOOOOOH now that could be an issue for loads of people! The CH4 amongst many others has the sb850.

Please post any related tid bits on this matter. I love my F3's. Nasty bit of news. Got AMD in my sights for a build 
Thanks for this, useful for a couple of builds I'm doing at the mo. The instructions aren't exactly clear though and it's nice of them to ask us to boot a file from DOS which is larger than a floppy 
Turns out this won't boot from a freeDOS install either
I presume it's finished as the output showed 'download completed' but it wasn't exactly clear and didn't show previous/current FW number.
Edit: Follow up on the first build, seems to be going successfully except for some unresolved issues with the Crosshair IV not wanting to play with the OCZ 'AMD-Ready' RAM in Dual-Channel. The HDD update seems to have worked though. Just put together the second rig and crikey that HDD noise is nasty. The Crosshair IV / F3 1TB combo made a rather worrying clicking noise but the noise coming from the M4A88TD-V / F3 2TB combo sends shivers down my spine, and not in a good way. It really does sound like the HDD is trying to rip itself apart
