Safe vMCH for Intel D975XBX2?

Just curious what yall would say the maximum safe vMCH would be for the XBX2 using the stock passive heatsink. Also, does anyone have any experience as to how much vMCH is needed for various FSB speeds on this board?

Thx in advance! :wavey:

Anyone, anyone at all?

Not sure what the stock voltage is mate, I normally only go 0.2v up on the stock voltage readout tho as NB/SB etc tend to die quickly with too much voltage.

I ordered and have just received the same mobo, so if you manage to find anything out about these I'd be interested in your findings. ;)

A bit of Googling - 1.525v default. 1.55v is good for 3.4ish, 1.6v 3.7ish, some people have had to max this to achieve stability at high clocks 3.7+...

These are just averages taken from various websites, condensed for your ease ;)

As for what is safe -IMO - 1.6v 24/7 with decent airflow...

I thought 1.525 sounded really high but I'm at work so I was on turbo scan mode whilst reading...

Me too, i scanned so fast that i thought this was another thread asking about vcore for the e6400 :o

/me goes to find correct thread
