S8S - CaseLabs

I don't like Parvum either, but then I guess if we all liked the same things the world would be a very boring place.

But yeah Caselabs = mid 40s IT bod or some one who simply wants the most expensive case for bragging rights. I'm the former, though I would never pay that much and most of them are simply too big for my house tbh. Especially if I had to downsize (which I will, once my landlady evicts me)

Caselabs = people who want massive radiator overkill and flexibility they can't get anywhere else. Nice generalization there Alien. Some of us guys pushing 50 have no need to brag to sh!theads on a forum, FYI.

Case Labs still has no competition for those of us who want massive rad space (and cheaply made crap like the Corsair 900D doesn't count). What other case can you stuff 5 radiators into, only weighs 22lbs empty, has modularity for days with removable 5.25 bays, multiple HDD cages, huge reservoirs, multiple pumps, fan controllers, etc. Name ONE competitor that ticks all those boxes.

They do sell smaller cases as well. Friend of mine just ordered the BH2. Came to just over $200 with shipping. The build quality of their cases is pretty unmatched.

Agree, although I always did like their STH10 case. I just love slapping in large rads.
I could never justify paying that much, but that is simply because on top of the $600+ I would have to pay 30% import tax ontop of that. I might be wealthy but I still cannot justify it.

Let's see what the Corsair Slate comes priced at it if ever makes it to the shelves. Failing that, I might give a desk build another shot at some point in time if i end up single again :D

Don't worry it can be worse. :D

Here we pay 10% import tax on price+shipping (that is import tax on shipping cost also). Then you pay 20% VAT on that sum. And then, even though you payed shipping, customs ships it to you via post service, and you need to pay shipping costs from customs to your house. And for some reason shipping to Serbia is 3x more expensive than to any bordering country. So if you want CaseLabs case you can easily double the asking price.

Relax you are in the perfect age group to appreciate the design, shape and so on.

I have seen *a lot* of people buy a Caselabs, then put a ATX board and a couple of AIOs in it. Just because it was the most expensive.

When I see one treated respectfully I give the same amount of respect. AlpenWasser's is one of my faves ever. EVGA SR2, Titan SLi. That thing was SICK.

Ed. I think you misread my post dude. I mentioned two types, not one. Though I did read my post back quickly and it does seem they are bunched together lol.

Ironically I don't appreciate the design, because there really is none. :) It's a big black box, plain as it gets. So I don't like EITHER of your completely incorrect generalizations. :D

I'd much prefer something aesthetically pleasing, but such a beast does not exist. CL is the epitome of function over form. I've tried moving to "prettier" cases, like the Phanteks Enthoo Luxe, but I couldn't handle the lack of rad space. One 420 and one 360 just wasn't enough for a hot dual GPU loop. Plus you can't have 2 rads in that thing AND a full HDD cage of 4 mechanical drives. There simply are no alternatives that fit my needs. Anyway, I just realized we're cluttering up this man's thread with this stuff, so I'll stop now out of respect for the OP.

all this and no one has answered my question if the 2 extra fans will make a difference in the temps inside the case

let me put your minds at rest then maybe i might get an answer instead of ''well if it was me'' (even tho i do appreciate and take into account some ''logical'' suggestions)

having no upper body balance i have looked and waited many oh years for a decent case that i can get into to clean from dust or change a part if something goes tits up which with my luck it dose a lot, sure id love a big ass case with some tempered glass on side nice n silent but been down at my level its hard to flip it over twist it round to get to the back or get messy with its insides , without having to burden anyone to please come help me with this or that !

hope this case can keep temps down, as live in place where temp do hit 45c in summer ambient temps are about 28-30c in house

that is what i put when i bought the lian li test bench but when lid go's on temps rise pretty quick so had to leave it of. This is something i cannot do due to the amount of dust i get over here, so basically this is function over form if it works out it will prob be the last case i ever buy.

Fair enough some of you cant justify spending that much on a case i cant justify spending more than 80 quid on a phone thats why i still have a old ass 40 quid nokia that i charge once a week for the past 9 years
wKb1Tv9.gif

my way of looking at things is i need thing things that are versatile and flexible to my way gone are the days of getting things just to look pretty ,even tho i do like the look of this case myself its not that bad lol

and as for bragging ...Alien .. come on man if anyone is a specialist on that well ...

One thing I am not is a braggart. In fact, you will usually find me wanting people to share their crap and so on.

Remember - don't hate, congratulate.

Well... ive never known anyone to brag about the price they paid for items as much as you alien ;)

Most people post pictures, but yours always accompany the cost of the items too. :P

Anyways, good case choice. Lets see a good build log!

Sorry man, I do believe you are completely wrong. That is the stuff I have bought with the cash I got from selling a PC (undisclosed) and the amount I spent is also undisclosed too.

I hardly ever post the price I paid for something unless I got it dirt cheap.

Try and remember that -

I have no kids (my choice, I wouldn't want any one to suffer like I have)
no wife
no mortgage
I don't smoke, I don't drink, I don't socialise (IE I leave my house once a month, if that)

What can I say? I like buying crap. It's the closest thing to happiness I get for most of the year. When my brother retires? yeah, things will definitely be a lot better but all the time he's living 100 miles away I hardly ever get to see him, nor my sister in law, nor my other relatives.

Tis finally here woo hoo
