S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky Details

I shall be buying this game straight up.

Only completed the last one about 4 days ago as it came free with my Maximus a month or so ago.

Installed all 5 or 6 patches and it was still a bit buggy. Mainly when the game didn't register certain missions as completed. While it was mostly the side quests which obviously didn't cause a problem, the biggest problem I had was it didn't register I'd completed a main quest which would then give me the chance to take up missions off the Duty faction. Kinda missed out on a whole section because of that. The story still went on but a little green circle remained on the map.

Just hope the bugs will be out of the new one. Can't wait to see how it looks at DX10 full details :D
 
I really can't wait for this game either, if it is just an improved version of stalker that it WILL be awesome. I've watched some of the tech demos for it to and they look amazing.

fingers crossed they do make a mmo :D
 
i hope for the love of god it isnt as buggy as the first one

that put me right off playing it (played for a few hours and gave up b4 i damage something due to frustration >.<)
 
I never got into the first; I wanted to but it looked crap and played like a dog - also too much running around the map. I probably gave up too early.

Anyway, I watched the tech demo and in game footage and it looks really similar to the first. I'm undecided right now, I'll probably get it knowing me...
 
Well, i thought the 1st one was alright but had room for improvement. It did get a bit boring clocking up the miles running about. Its good to see that the A.I has been improved on. I reckon this is going to be a good 'un. Got my vote.:)
 
I only just got the first one...morrisons £6....I never had enough power to play it when it came out last year...well not enough to make it look good....so thought what the hell... installed all the updates and it runs very well...however I still have a few games I need to finish before getting engrossed in the first installment...looks good though (both)...and the quick blast I had on mp was a laugh...it was nice to see a fpsrpg done reasonably well...hopefully they can only improve the saga...but saying that sequels can oftenly be dissapointing....
 
STALKER really that good ? I only ask cos I don`t remember playing it after it not working on 2 pcs I had at the time.

Worth a revisit ?
 
...u dont get much for 6 quid these days...its worth a punt though...still trying to get through crysis..should have it licked this weekend so hopefully get a few hours in this weekend....
 
Yea to all the people complaining about the running around. If you played and liked Oblivion you have nothing to complain about.

Im looking forward to this as well.
 
any game with a good rpg element has plenty of leg work and wondering "where the F*** am I" if it didnt it would just be another sandbox shooter...
 
Rast.. It is worth a revisit as long as you patch it up fully. Even then, bugs do still exist, but it's very playable.

As for all the running around.. I just used two moon-thingy artfacts so that you could run permanently and not have to walk to recover.
 
Wahoo can't wait for this game to be released. The first one was excellent. Regardless of all the bugs, i still really enjoyed it.

Anybody have any ideas as to the hardware requirements needed to make it run pretty ?
 
Looking at the screen shots.. things have been improved, but I still think it won't be all that much more demanding than the original. :)

Checking out Mass Effect atm, but I will try and remember to re-install this and give it a good patching.

Mass effect was OK for the Xbox, didnt get that much time to play it though. NFS Pro Street was released on the same day and by the time I was finished with that, my lazer started to go faulty, so I just sold it.
