ryzen 2700x overclocking

hi
im pretty new to overclocking, and im not looking for something extreme at all, just a small overclock well within safety margins

my initial idea was 4.2 ghz on all cores, leaving the voltage on auto, which meant a voltage of 1.47 iirc, i felt this was a bit much

this brings me to question1: what i really wanted to ask about. what happens if i set it to 4.2 ghz, manually lower the voltage to say 1.4v - do i risk the computer not booting at all? or will i not discover that the voltage is too low until i run some stress tests over time?

question2: are there any other settings in bios i can change to lower the voltage (auto) without lowering the cpu speed? there are so many settings, and i dont know waht 90% of them do

here are my specs
cpu:ryzen 2700x
mobo: Asus ROG Strix X470-I Gaming
ram: Corsair Vengeance LPX Black DDR4 PC25600/3200MHz CL16 2x16GB
psu: 750w corsair rm750x v2 (2018)
ssd: couple of 1tb samsung pros (850 iirc) + a m.2 of some sort
gpu: trusty old gtx 1070
case: nzxt h200i
cooler: Noctua NH-U12S SE-AM4 (dual noctua industrial fan)
fans: noctuas

OS: solus (linux) - no windows , it didnt survive the change of hardware, will reinstall at some stage (not soon)

ps its currently running at 4.025 ghz, 1.35v(auto) which feels safe and cool
