RV AntiFreeze Question

Has anyone tried running RV antifreeze in their cooling system?

It's non toxic, non staining and protects against corrosion.

They say they "do not harm plastics (except acetate)". Quite often the plastic material on waterblocks are labelled as being acetal; I don't know if they're the same thing or not, but they sound similar. I'd look into that a bit if you have any acetal blocks.

Well I can't see any obvious reason why it wouldn't work, but maybe just wait to see if anyone has any actual experience using it as coolant before preceding with it

That's what I have. I like it that its nontoxic. If I have a spill, wife won't kill me if the cats find it lol. I think since its made for plastic RV plumbing, it might be easier on a computer system.

Is the only reason you want to use it the non-toxicity, or would it be a cheaper alternative too?

No, I'm not worried about the price. It's like $7.00 a gallon, and I do have an RV I can use the left over in.
