Running system w/o GPU?

Hi all,

Are you able to run a system without a GPU, using only onboard graphics on the mobo? I running an i7-4930k on a RIVE Black Edition, and have every other component except my GPU (I ordered an EVGA Gtx 780 Ti Classified and it's on it's way, but I want to do something in the mean time). Here's my full components list: http://awesomescreenshot.com/06327ocr02.

If I can start to run my system, what can I do and not do with regards to what's need with GPU integration; i.e., install programs, OS, drivers, RAID drives, etc?

Thank you!

Take a look at the I/O and tell me what you're missing to be able to plug in a monitor :)

.... completely missed that. It's so simple and yet I never even thought of it :|

Anyway!... say I had a motherboard WITH a display connection, could I do such things?

Yes, if you also have a CPU with integrated graphics.

Edit: You do not.

On the mainstream Intel platforms you could, but afaik the 2011 chips don't have integrated graphics.

If your motherboard supports on-board video (IE has a display output on the IO) and the CPU has integrated graphics.. yes, you can.
