Replacement PSU fan

Right I have a Tagan 1100w Turbojet PSU and the fan is ridiculously loud tbh.

What I need is 2 replacement 80mm fans that push a decent amount of air but don't sound like they are about to take off.

Black is fine for colour.

Any recommendations?

Have a look at the enermax fans, I did a review on one earlier on this year and was very impressed (http://forum.aqua-pcs.co.uk/showthread.php?t=171)

It may not push enough air, but they were nice and quiet

I could be wrong, but I thought that PSU had a 15mm depth one and a 25mm depth one in there?

I'd look at something like the Yate Loon D80SH-12, Its about 30cfm, but much higher than that and you'll be getting the noise again.

Obviously you also want to make sure the PSU doesn't overheat with lower output fans. The turbojet is one hell hot PSU when under load.

4 x Noctua NF-P12's, 2/3 x Noctua NF-S12's - all on a fan controller

Possibly an LCD temp display

I only use 1 or seldom 2 USB devices at a time.

It shouldn't go above 4-500w imo

Yeah thats not gonna give it too much to sweat over. If you're thinking of changing the 15mm one out for a 25mm one you might want to make sure it'll fit. I think a 15mm may have been used because the fan is wedged between the PCB and the casing of the PSU.

The 25mm one is probably the noisier of the two anyway, so maybe just changing that one for a Yate will suffice.

Umm well that would mean spending money on something when I have a perfectly decent top-notch PSU here. Orrr I could buy a fan or two...

I have like, four 80mm Yates sitting around doing nothing at home. They came with my old Raidmax case (I was rather surprised to see them tbh). I could send you a pair if the shipping is reasonable. You'd have to wait a couple weeks though until I go home for Thanksgiving though. Just an option

From what I remember, yes, though I'd have to check to be sure. Actually, I think they may also have inline resistors that reduce the speed/noise even more. From what I can remember, they were dang near silent.
