Redline @ OC3D F@H Prop's & Bragging Thread..

well 200k PPD on the 780 Ti is really high. But I can see it being true, however AMD 180k? That's a lot! I expected 100 to 120k PPD.

It was merely a test for me and I probably won't fold 24/7 with this setup anyways, but I can join in at times and add a few points here and there...

Back at uni, so i can finally start cracking out some points again for the team.

Anyone know what sort of PSU I would need if i wanted to run my 670 FTW (that i have kicking around) as well as my 780. It needs an upgrade anyway, and can just run my soundcard with an extender.

Generally cards from different series don't play well together, but a 6 and 7 series may....

I've not had any problems with my GTX 570 and 670 running together, just had to add a new gpu slot but it picked the card up fine.

In other news I'm back off to uni tomorrow so will be able to start folding again! Whoo!!

Any good quality PSU 650W plus IMO will do. I tend to go for Corsair. You could get away with lower wattage, but I like to leave some headroom for future use.

A little testrun on my new GPUs. I figure it's best to test with F@H whether the cooling I put together is good enough...

So far it's looking good. the GPUs remain pretty much under 50°C

Cheers. I'll have a look for one. I'm in need of a newer one.

Nice not having to worry about electricity. Or the rents coming down on my head over it... :p

I highly doubt the PPD is anywhere close to being accurate...

it's more in terms of temperatures interesting than PPD. I will let it run PPD-wise tonight. I highly doubt that it will be over 400k but we will see.

I don't know whether I'll be ever contributing for a full week to actually see what the computer can do. It's my gaming computer now, and since it's now finally finished I have completely different priorities.

Not to mention that the wattage consumption is unreal at 1100W...

No problem mate, we understand. I'm folding on my gaming rig, but because I work 9 - 5, 5 days a week, I only game on the weekends.

Folding 24/7 seems I'd get to about 520k PPD-ish.
Although I've not had the will to fold yet for a few hours at a time, I saw the TPF on the P8900 WUs my 290Xs were folding at.

According to that the TPF was at 2:47 pretty flat. So judging by that I can see about 175k PPD-ish per card.

Pretty crazy considering...
