2nd 8120 is on it's way for Monday next week. For £130 each and overclocking brilliantly on stock cooler (even considering the fail factor) these are going to be bringing in 20k each if I can get them both as far as stock volts will allow (using 'get the job done' boards with 3+1 phase). 20k + 20k + 25k from 1090 + 10k from 2x 430s and 3k from Athlon 64 X2... 78k PPD if I can keep the 430s folding 24/7 (still waiting for my dear ol' mother to bung 2GB of photos on her 32GB pen drive... keeps pausing the client rather than folding 24/7.
200w for 1090 + 165w x2 for 8120s + 20w E350 + 45w x2 for 430s then +~100w for Athlon 64 X2 = ~740w x1.2 = 888w from the wall.
= 87.837[sub]R [/sub]PPD/ watt (excluding E-350 as it's PPD varies a lot).

I'm thinking of getting a few gt430's, how good are they? They are pretty cheap now i think

4-5k a peice is the norm, with 8k being the best you'll get, which is very rare.
You have to remember they overclock brilliantly on stock volts and only use 45w out the box.
I bought Gigabyte OC versions and they run 72*c or so under full folding load (two WUs per card when I took that reading, so not a hert wasted) but are slightly too big to fit in a single slot. Remarkably quiet though.
Don't get 440s, they're utterly pointless. Also default 430 memory clock is 900Mhz but the chips are rated 1Ghz.

Congrats on the 1 million.
I am currently running at 98% full folding capacity (the 2% not folding is my C2D laptop), so things are a little warm for me at the moment
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it but our current Team PPD is 1.3 Million. Amazing numbers!

It's nice to know there are other people picking up my slack. When I finally find myself somewhere stable to live I will have a better idea of what I can fold 24/7.
I may end up mixing up the hardware a bit. At the moment my PPD is aprox 50% CPU and 50% GPU.... it may weigh a little heavier on the GPU but thats requires thinking and/or a calculator. If I can sell some GPU power and get some CPUs going for not much extra outlay this will be better for my power bill.
Having said that, 560 Tis (and the 460) arn't the most power hungry cards around.... condidering I have two 560 Tis folding and 2600k @ 4.5ghz folding, all running from a 650w power supply (it is a corsair, I don't suggest people try this with any old PSU). Then there is the 460 which is folding away along side two quad C2D @ 2.45ghz, a few people here will remember I had to add some extra wires to the power supply to power the 460
Anyway, for certain, if I drop off the radar for a while (could even be months) I will be back folding as strong as ever.

This 8120 just doesn't know when to stop, it's folding stable @5.2Ghz on stock volts and inturn still under the stock cooler (though with stock TIM replaced with NT-H1).

I just had a look at my stats and I smashed out 91k yesterday, thank you I will take that.
Gotta defend that 10th spot on the team leaderboard..... not sure how long I can stay there. Being chased left right and centre.
That said, I am really glad the team is doing so well. I'm not sure when my next upgrade will be now the xw6400 has two quads in it, but you can place a sure bet that it will be to help the team.

Well sadly the board this 8120 is in only has multiplier overclocking up to 35, so 7Ghz (seven) on stock volts with stock cooler will just have to do, bringing in 18k with 8013 and 8014s or 15k with 7808s - so you can keep your PPD spot until Monday. I was hoping to go even further... (clocks are indeed applying, 8013/14s brought in only 12k at stock).

One BD clock cycle is equal to about 0.5 Phenom clock cycles, meaning it's effectively a 3.5Ghz premium quad core, as the modules don't work properly.
I can't get a validation as CPU-Z doesn't work on anything except Windows, and I'm using Lubuntu.
Also there is a BD patch for Linux as there is for Windows, but it makes almost no improvement as it assumes the cache being shared between two modules is the cause of the lack in performance, which it evidently isn't otherwise the patch would be a miracle fix.
I have tried running 8 unicore SMPs which got me up to an estimated PPD just short of 60k off the 8120 alone, but then it realised after about 3% on each unit that it was slowing down and so went down to about 8k, which wasn't any better than the SMP (this was at stock).
Still, I'd get quite the tingle seeing a PC boot up at 7ghz (folding stable).
I am plotting at the back of my mind the next upgrade (or addition) for folding. I kinda feel like the people back in the hayday of madonion/(early)futuremark who basicly upgraded for better scores
