Muhaha, just ordered a Coolermaster 450w PSU and a G210 Graphics card. I game on the weekends (Have no time during week), so the plan is to put the new PSU in my new folding box and throw the 5850 in with it to fold 24/7 for 8500PPD. Then I will put the G210 in my big rig so I can fold these small wu's when I get home from school until I go to bed.

Im hoping to squeeze 11k on a weekday and maybe over 16k on a weekend (Depending how much I fold on the i5).

Anyone have any idea how long Aria takes to deliver? I bought from them two years ago and it took a day and a half. Not bad for the very north of Scotland.

Aria normally do next day if ordered before 5 or 6pm

keep getting the big SMP units i am not meant to be able to get as i don't have enough threads :/ turned all the settings for them off

annoying because it completes them and i don't get any points for them

I have read elsewhere someone useing the V7 bet and not getting the points.

Have you double checked all your details are entered correctly? I know its obvious, but sometimes the obvious is overlooked.
 
Figured I would post this in here.

I went ahead and bought my first dedicated folding rig (although my main PC is pretty much dedicated to folding atm anyway).

£130 has grabbed me a fully working HP XW6400 (fully as in, all it needs is a hard drive). It's equiped with two Dual Core 2ghz Xeons (5130) and 4gb of Ram.

It also has a Quadro NVS 285, which will be replaced with my 460 and it has a second 16x PCI-E slot.

This will be a work in progress job. Over time the second PCI-E slot will be filled and the Dual Cores will be swapped out for Two Quads.

Fun times ahead (just waiting on the delivery)

My i7-970 is "only" 57k ppd at these 6901.6903 is 85k ppd and the 6904 is 92k ppd.

Hope youll soon get back to the big ones

Right, where to start.

I know why I am running is small fry compared to some, but I'm happly with it all.

So my folding gear is as follows.

Two Laptops. One equiped with a T7600 (C2D 800FSB 2.6ghz 4mb) and one with a i5 2410m (2.7ghz Turbo). Both Folding 24/7.

Then I have two desktops. Thanks to ebay and my weak will has let me tweak my main rig and take ownership of the secon just yesterday.

Main rig, powered by a i7 2600k @ 4.5ghz. This is backed up by TWO 560 Ti. Unlike previuously two cards are in the system and working well together.

Secondary rig is an old workstation (HP XW6400), powered by not one but two brains. Basicly two C2D running at 2ghz with 4mb cache. The GFX card that came with that and has been replaced with the 460 768mb card that wasn't very happy working along side a 560 Ti.

As of right now the whole lot is grinding the work units with not a single problem in site?

Oh and I smashed through the 2 million mark too

2 million is way past me, so all i can say is keep up the good work. it stops me from feeling so guilty. especially when i have free electricity! yep you heard right! I could run 24/7 and not worry about cost, only drama is my machine likes to wind me up so until I sort it out i cannot help (and that is really frustrating) but I am making an effort this weekend to back up everything that is important (alot more than i thought)and go for the big wipe.

My computer is a bit like an oven at the moment.

The hot air comming out of the top of the case is quite worrying... or it would be if I was more paranoid.

I had one gfx card running at 85c earlier and the cores on my i7 were creaping upto the 80c mark too

the top card is reaching 88C with the fan there, gets hotter without :/

mainly trying to keep the noise down as you can now here my PC in the down stairs rooms... lol
