Redline @ OC3D F@H Prop's & Bragging Thread..

Didn't realize the 2600ks got that much PPD you should do bgadv though you will get much more points.

I thought that there was no point since I don't fold 24/7. I usually interchange between the CPU and GPU, sometimes do both at the same time, but my CPU PPD goes down to 18 - 19 K.

If you can complete the WU in time you will be ok, I don't know how long a bigadv WU takes though.

Just need to enable bigadv, when you start the WU click on where it says SMP on the left on the GPU tracker and a window will open and there will be a ETA of how long it will take to complete so you should know if you are able to complete it in time or not.

Cool. Thank you

I Fold CPU and GPU at the same time on most of my computers, but I have the CPU set to use one fewer thread than the CPU has. So my i5-750 is Folding on three threads with the GTX275, and my Q9300 is Folding on two threads with the GTX460 and 9800GT (it also runs two virtual machines that are set to one core each, I get more PPD with two cores than three. Without the virtual machines, three threads are better, one CPU core is more than enough to handle the CPU side of those GPUs.) This lets the GPU max out its PPD without slowing down the CPU.

When my 2500K Folds it's on all four threads, since the HD 6950 is not worth Folding on.

When I change the Q9300 to an IB i7-3k series, it'll probably be Folding on 6 cores unless I eliminate the virtual machines.

20,000k PPD on my i5 760! Not even thinking about attempting to run the 5850 to spoil that awesome PPD from the first gen i5. Eyed a nice GTX550 TI for a nice price. That should be worthy of 10K PPD.

I'm not sure a 550Ti would get 10,000. At stock my 460 only gets 9,000 (when it's not conflicting with the 560ti that is)

20K!

Is at 5000Mhz or something ?

mine never got close at 4200Mhz............

a GTX550ti does around 9500PPD O/C

Thats pretty rocking then on the 550Ti front.

20k is probably through the V7 Beta client with the awesome A4 work units.

Well i decided to start one 2600k for some random folding.

No big wu`s,just the small ones.Started with a wu6941 @ 27k ppd.Cpu at 4.5ghz
