Sorry i couldnt reply sooner,but my 2nd i7-970 played some trix on me.Countless reboots and trying to figure out what was wrong.Re-sampled the hole rig and it turned out to be a bent cpu-pin

,all running smooth again

But leaving one thread to gpu increase ppd on smp,even if one gtx460 only uses 1.5% cpu.

And if you are using your pc all day long,browsing or other light stuff it could improve ppd,but try it yourself.

Ive stopped my ps3 doing it for now, it uses alot of power in fetching so few points (750-1k ppd)

yeah, although my landlord pays the electric bill and i just pay him one fixed lump sum - i cant justify the risk of it breaking for so few points

Yep. When they capped it that's when I quit using my PS3. It was too much to babysit anyway.

another 4 people down and ive got bad news for a few more, im swapping a 6870 for a 470 to put in my folding rig (ive got 1 6870s crossfired atm but its suffering as a result of my lame mobo)
