Oh and congrats BigIan

So my journey for better performance begins now.For starters i will rip both my rigs appart and resample things. However first rig will be running as fast as possible, maybe 1-2 hours time, but 2nd rig i will have to do some testing as it is my first install of wc-loop,maybe 24 hours needed for that.Fortunately Kup has some new gear
biggrin.gif
to hold ppd,as i will drop again this week too.

happy folding guys,se you in 24(if lucky)

Well 2nd rig up and running again
smile.gif
,but i think i lost in the chip-lottery with the 2nd i7-950.Had to increase volts alot, compared to the other i7.Both at 4.2ghz,but first is 1.312v and 2nd 1.344v
dry.gif
,but temps are way lower now, peaks at 66c when folding all 8 threads, and if im lucky i can finish wu2684 just in time for bonuspoints
smile.gif
.

And it was fun doing this upgrade
biggrin.gif
,as it is my 1st wc-loop
cool.gif
.My back is sore, had to turn the rig 8-10 times(lost count after 4th turnover
laugh.gif
) to get rid of air-bubbles, and i skimmed foam in watertank aswell,i thought i was doing something wrong as it was all milky and foggy for starters, but now its all clear and shiny. Waterpump was on for 6hours to test for leaks and air in system before i started the rig and "tweaked" bios.

It doesnt come cheap done properly, and its time-consuming.Reading stuff, watching rewievs and Toms videos several times, thanks again to Tom

Now i will go and get some sleep.Close to 27h on this job.

Nice work on the wc conversion! I have often thought about trying wc but have never been able to actually make my self go and do it.....

Do you have pics of your rig yet? I'm all set to start my first wc project as well. I want to finish up a couple more projects around the house first, then I'm set to order. What parts did you end up with?

Parts i used:

cpu-block is an aquacomputer cuplex kryos hf

northbridge-block is an ek-nb/sb-5 acetal

rad phobya g-changer 360 rev 1.2

waterpump ek-dcp 4.0 with ek-reservoir combo dcp 4.0

fittings d-tek 1/4 bspp(G1/4)-1/2(12mm)

hose masterkleer 7/16"(15,9/11,1mm) and normal hoseclamps

fluid 1x feser one uv-blue+7liters of destilled water

fans 3x arctic cooling f12 connected to 3 pin quad-split

I have ordered a lamptron fancontroller fc-2,it handles up to 45w a channel,waterpump is only 18w ,and a nzxt 200mm topfan aswell.

Running full tilt on waterpump and fans isnt needed yet.

I am very happy with this build
tongue.gif
. If i could change something,maybe xspc rx360 rad and a laing ddc waterpump+decent top,but its like add 40-50£.

Hope you´ll find time and money to build your own wc-loop
wink.gif
.

7 liters of destilled water i used for rinse rad and parts.

All ordered today! Probably won't get a chance to actually do the build until mid March though. Heading out on vacation the first week of that month.
