I've had nothing but 6701s as well. Here's a post I found on the [H] forums about this WU:

It is one of their old A2 WUs that was converted to the A3 core and is a collaboration with their Swedish colleagues to study ion channels. This was new science for PG on the A3 core as of June of this year and no other projects other than 6702 are doing any kind of ion channel studies at the moment so these are quite important from a scientific viewpoint.

I believe someone in the other 670x thread stated that they suspected the lower points is because they were benchmarked on older hardware and not the current Core i5 benchmark machine. This is not the case as these WUs came out well after they switched to the i5 for benchmarking.

I'm really not sure what the issue is with these WUs scoring lower. We experienced some of the same issues in beta testing with some people actually scoring more points on 6701's compared to some other WUs such as 6052 and 6023. Some have speculated the lower, and higher, scoring differences was due to cache sizes or HyperThreading but no final conclusions were made before these were released to gen-pop.

So, these WUs suck points wise but they are apparently important WUs for the science. I haven't seen a good WU in a long time but as long as I keep getting 670x I will keep folding them. Let's not forget the reason we all fold and just get through these suckers as quick as we can.

Well to be honest i have tried to force another WU then the 67xx WU, without any luck.. as it will just pop back up

2692P not that good of a WU PPD wise, but no complains besides that

EDIT its not so bad afterall, seems to be doing 22000PPD now.. that's with a 9xx WU running...

4 easy steps to lower 3 Fermi Temps inside a HAF-X (fall and winter only)

Step 1: Open window and rotate case so cold air is drawn in through the front hot air than blows into your room saving money on Hydro

Step 2: Remove Windowed Side Panel & disconnect fan connector.

The most vital step of all ( will not work if you are a light sleeper)

Step 3: Go into closet and retrieve your fan whether it be a desktop or oscillating make sure it's clean first

turn it to the highest setting and place it as close as you can to your graphics card(s)

Step 4: watch your card temps drop 10-12 degrees

Well guys, I've just set up F@H on my GTX470, so it's now running on the Q8200 and the GTX470. It will not be running 24/7 though, only a couple of hours a day so it won't get me a lot of points, but it'll definitely improve my ppd which is next to 0 atm so yeah haha

Yeah I'm folding as much as I can but my Q8200 is a terrible folder (or maybe my client isn't set up right?) it gets about 350 ppd if I leave it on for about 7 hours a day so not so great lol

, and since it's in my room and it's got loads of LEDs I can't sleep with it turned on so I have to turn it off at night.

Now with the GTX470 folding too I'm hoping to get some more PPD since 350 is just taking the piss

Yeah that sounds like you need to add the -smp flag to your cpu client. Check task manager for cpu usage, it's probably showing 25% right?

Nah mate I'm running it with the -smp and the -verbosity 9 flag, still takes about 25 minutes for it to complete 1% so it's taking ages

CPU usage is 100%
