Managed to get hold of a 8800GTS with a OEM cooler (120mm fan! WTF) so I should be looking at another 4-6k ppd thanks to that (replacing the borked 8600GT)
so far so good tbh, its tearing through a WU at the moment and its at 28% and its only been on for around 20 mins or so, everytime i look at it to see how its getting on temp wise, its completed another 1%

My first wu has just been submitted at last!, took ages to do 250,and has pushed active cpu's to over 400
How come my second wu is 2000? so they get bigger each time or just random in size?

Ye kinda weird tbh,my first 100 took over a full day,then the 2nd wu started which was 2000 total rather than the 250 and it's done over 100 in the first hour.

I mean the little box that appears when you hover over the task tray icon that says "CPU - F@H: working(200/2000)",thats what i was reffering to,

As when the first load of numbers completed 250/250 ,that was submitted and my name appears on team Stats.That was first ever attempt at folding but took a long time.
Now the 2nd lot has begun it appears 200/2000 in a space of a few hours.
Yet the first lot took days to reach 250?
Hope you can understand that better

It has to do with the WU's some are 500.000 steps large others 250.000 and yet other 2.000.000. But this has nothing to do with the dificulty of the WU itself. So one that shows up on the systray as 2000 may be harder or easier then one that shows up as 250.
It will only show you where you are in the current WU.
So it's not an amount of points either
you can check how many points a WU is by looking for the Project on the Stanford website.
@BigIan, without some serious Virtual machine works -Bigadv will not run on CPU's with less than 8 cores reported in the OS (but you're right it is possible)
