Random shut downs (kernel 41)

Hey guys,

I recently built a computer (link, finished on the 27th) and have been having some issues.

Within the two weeks, I have had 7 Kernel 41 shutdowns. Yes, seven!
Now right before they happen, I usually have a "Crash dump initialization failed!" error (which was probably caused by me not allowing any pagefile, which I changed) and or a "Session "Homegroup Log" failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000035" error.

So whats wrong? I'm running my RAM at its 1600MHz XMP and my CPU at 3.8GHz (3570k).
I ran Prime 95 and got one rounding error after 6 hours, and I'm going to try Memtest, but I really don't know whats wrong. Any ideas?

try setting your RAM volts manually to its rated speeds. then try memtest, if you have more than one module, test each one with prime95 or memtest... or both.. and see which one is to blame. It would help if you give us the specs of your computer.

EDIT: the word link is a hyperlink in the OP that links to the computer specs.

I also have a CPU-z verification banner in my sig.

Well , if I can read the CPUZ validation thingie in your signature, it sais something a bit different. Are you running Patriot or Corsair RAM?

Corsair, Turns out one the of the sticks is bad (25000 errors within 3 seconds???).

NCIX RMA here I come.

EDIT: What should I write as my RMA reason? Fails memtest? Bad stick? DOA?

Holy hell, you gotta be kidding me. That was fast. it seemed kind of strange that it gave you grief so soon, that means something is definitely wrong with that ram.

Yeah, I know LOL. it just started and BAM errors were going up and up.

So, should I RMA it for a refund and get other RAM or for replacement?

Well, you musta picked them RAM for a reason so why not for replacement? Unless you changed your mind and want something ele instead? Corsair RAM's good. This can happen even to the best names on the market. Go for replacement.
