random freezing when in games

My bro's pc has started freezing when in games and will not unfreeze i have to use the reset button. Its at random times some times after an hour or 10 mins des it on all games. Any ideas?

Have you got up to date bios & drivers for the gpu?

Firstly I'd check that all heatsinks for everything in the pc are happy and that fans that are meant to be spinning - are.

2x priotity ones are gpu and cpu.

everything is temperature wise fine.

yes everything is up to date haven't changed anything since it was working only thing i did was delete the appdata file by accident but only for one account but it does not matter what account it is on it still freezes.

got the same problem with a clients laptop, still trying to troubleshoot it, everything checks out fine, cpu ram hdd, the only thing i can think of is the motherboard thats gone or the northbridge starts dieing.

try declocking things start with the cpu then with the gpu i find some things can be fixed but its a last resort when you ran out of ideas

have you tried backdating drivers aswell?
