Random Disconnections BT Hub 5

Hi Can anyone help.
I have BT Infinity 3 Connecting on a BT Hub 5
And I'm getting these speeds which are fine:

Every so often I get random "Disconnections" The thing is my Hub Remains solid blue, and my network icon on my taskbar is fine.

I can be surfing then browsing activity can be slow and un-responsive and temporaly goes off line.

I have to restart my PC for it to be back to nomral.

I connect wired but I have the wi-fi on to make use for other devices in my home such as phones ect.

Cany anyone help on this issue?

Have you made sure that your power settings are set to maximum? And that in device manager you turn of, let windows manage power for this device on the ethernet adapter. I'm not sure if that option is just for Wi-Fi adapters only but worth checking.

What Power Settings?

And I have all the power options turned off for the Onboard Lan controler too.

Have all devices been disconnecting or just your wired one? Have you taken a look at the event log on the home hub 5 while in admin log in? Can you post the log to somewhere from the time where you are having the issue and I will take a look

Bt support are terrible. Try switching smart setup off and changing the essid of the 2.4g and 5g band then reconnect all devices to the new essid. Also try setting the channels to something other than 11, 1 and 6

I got this info from a friend who's a Bt network guru. I had problems with mine a couple of years ago and his advice was to get rid of that BT s**t and buy a decent router like asus

Well it's the only solution left with the best chance of working based off this thread. Can't hurt to try. Not the he has a choice it seems.

I'd suggest calling them or using there forum if they have one.

Considering he's not using Wi-Fi it's irrelevant. A BT engineer would know that wouldn't work as you are required to use the BT home hub lol.

The only thing left to eliminate is the DHCP server and set up a static IP to your PC.

I tried the above, and still the problem is happening.
I may look into getting an alternavtve Router too.
