Ran out of RAM

Hi, I have 2x4GB dominator sticks of RAM at 1866mhz + GTX 660 Ti and was playing Black Ops 2 when I got a windows message saying i was out of memory. The only apps I had open were Steam, Black Ops 2, Nvidia Control Panel, MSi Afterburner and Realtek HD Audio manager. I went into performance in task manager and it said i only used 3GB/8GB, yet I was still getting the pop-up.

If the game is smooth and the message is the only problem try using readyboost it gets rid of the message, i kept getting that with cinema 4d and it worked in that case.

how much room do you have on your SSD?
could be prompting from lack of virtual memory (pagefile)

Yes I would think this, 32bit versions of Windows only support a maximum of 4GB system memory

I've had this message before when playing BF3 after I had disabled my paging file.

yep agree with the page file bizo.
either set your page file to another drive or set the maximum allowed pagefile size.
