RAM Timings

lower times = speed

higher mhz = more bandwidth

Tbh Id just run them at the rated 888-24 @ 1600mhz. They should have an XMP profile for you to just select in the bios if you dont know what your doing to get the stable manualy at the rated speed.

Do RAM timings really matter if your not doing anything RAM intensive? I got told it doesn't make much of a difference if your not using a lot of the RAM all the time.
 
Everything uses the ram, you notice it mostly with things like video editing, folding and picture editing. Its apps that let the cpu stretch its legs.
