Amd or Intel

Simple, If you're not doing virtual machine stuff/building a 100% linux rig go intel. No competition sadly. For gaming the AMD chip will pull ahead in any game that is well multithreaded but anything else it will struggle (i.e. most games). The 9590 won't be that far behind but the 9590 needs alot of cooling as well.

Play it safe and go intel.

Put simply Intel is the best for single threaded work. If you need something multi-threaded go with AMD unless you want to drop well over $1000 for a CPU.

Intel because it will be better in pretty much every situation while not melting your rig. Even in multithreading it won't be far behind.

Intel motherboards are much nicer on the whole too. Far more form factor and colour choices in addition to all of the newer features.

As far as i knew i thought AMD was more than enough for just gaming, even the FX 8350 does the job perfect. You could safe some money going amd and spend it on something else?

Gaming is usually heavy on single threading and when it comes to that AMD is a gamble. Gaming = Intel, no way around it.

Yes unless you are planning to play very specific games that support heavy multithreading. Or you are planning to make videos and upload them to youtube. (the rendering times on the 9590 are just marvellous for its price)
