Ram slots not working

Hi there, I have the ASRock N68C-S UCC motherboard, it supports ddr2 + ddr3 memory. Slot 1 and 3 are DDR2 and slots 2 and 4 are DDR3. Slots 2,3 & 4 aren't working. I was running on 2 gigs (2x1Gb) of ddr2 kingston memory. I got a BSOD and the PC shut down, then it didnt post. I made a research and I saw some things I can do about it. When i removed the RAM from slot 3, the system posted. I thought only slot 3 wasnt working, so i got 4 gigs (2x2Gb) of Corsair ValueSelect memory. But when I installed them the system didnt post. I tried to use only 1 stick of 2Gb ddr3, but it didnt post either. So only slot 1 is working. What can it be ? Is it the motherboard or what ?

This mobo only supports DDR3 up to 1600Mhz, i have no idea where you got the idea of using DDR2 lol.

Use DDR3 only, come back with tragic results or happiness.

EDIT,Delete please cos it does support ddr3 and ddr2.

I said that I bought a kit of 4 gigs Corsair DDR3 memory, but the pc wont post when I put them on.

Could be the board or the memory, download and run memtest and try different combinations of ram placement to see if you can get it working. If memtest doesnt show any errors then the ram slots are probably faulty.

Or it could be the psu causing the problems are you sure the psu has enough watts and what Mhz is the ram.

Edit: Wait so are you trying to use DDR2 and DDR3 together?

I just bought the memory, and its impossible that both of the 2 sticks are faulty. I tried any combination, and only the first DDR2 slot is working. Well before I changed my PSU to a 500w PowerColor Gaming Series 80+, I was running on a 350w generic PSU, I was getting lots of BSOD's and had to wait 1 minute so the PC will post again, but it posted.

And no im not trying to use DDR2 and DDR3 together, I know that wont work

check ur mobo manual there might be a dip switch to switch between the 2 types of memory outside of that I would have to say its prolly the mobo took a shite bro.

Already checked that, yes I also think its the mobo, ASRock is making some cheap ass mobo's these days --'.

What do you think about the ASUS M4A87TD EVO ?

whats ur budget for a board??? try and step up a few chipsets if ur replacing the board if possible.

lol just saw it was a 870chipset should be good has decent reviews

ASUS M4A79XTD EVO lloks a bit better than the one you posted and its the same price lol 100.93 and has dual 16x slots where the other is 16x and 4x lol just looked at font oh well not worring about it

but of those I like the XTD

The one I showed you is 78.70. 20 bucks less, so only for a 16x slot its not worth it. Okay then, I will wait till Thursday to order it, it will arrive by the end of the week. I'll post here if it was the motherboard that was faulty
