Hi All,

Can someone please advise on Mem for Ryzen 1800x. I'm looking to get the ROG CROSSHAIR VI HERO and I'm looking at get RAM speed of 3200hz = 32gb.

Any thoughts and recommendations?

As of now, I seriously doubt you'll get 32GB of RAM running at 3200. It seems the only people running speeds that high are using Samsung B-die chips, single sided, and only 2 8GB DIMMs. That's not to say it can't be done, but I haven't heard any success stories with 32GB, only 16GB. :(

I was lucky I was running 16GB of the Trident Z 3200 CAS 14 and it worked from day one. From what I have read, Asus is confident the May update is going to fix most of the memory problems.

If you get 32GB, it would probably be best to do it in 2 16GB sticks and not try to populate all the ram slots.

I recently ordered the 16GB of Trident Z 3200 CAS 14 kit. i can't wait to see how well it works with the Ryzen 7 1800X/Crosshair VI Hero that I've got.

I haven't put anything together yet as I'm waiting on ordering rads, pump/reservoir, tubing, & fittings. Lots of parts to buy, and I want to spread the purchases out.

4 sticks seems to be a problem for Ryzen atm but I know its something all motherboard brands are hassling AMD about
