raid help on asus a8n32

i cant seem to get raid sorted on my asus a8n32.... on my previous board k8n diamond it came with a silicon image raid floppy and i had no issues! now if i try install windows on not raided hdds its ok but once i config raid when i get into the installation menu on windows it says it cant detect any hdds? Please help me

Well you should have ahd a RAID disk supplied - go to ASUS and download RAID drivers from their site (or might be Nvidia??).

Also - heard people having a few issues with old RAID and the ASUS board - you may need to re-install anyways but you need the RAId driver disk first.

Hi Mav thx for the prompt reply! I have the floppy from my previous mobo the k8n diamond and tghe floppy is sil3132 which i believe is the same. I tried this but still no luck?

Are you using the SIL SATA Ports? I would have thought the Nvidia ports would be better for you anyways AFAIK the SIL ports are limited by the PCI bandwidth.

I am almost certain you also have to install the nvidia ones as well as the SIL and the Nvidia ones 1st - I am not that up to speed, especially with SIL but when I put my disk in and press F6 installing windows the Nivida ones are highlighted as required.

Give it a try my friend, what have you got to lose?
