when i finally get all the parts for me new rig i want it to be water cooled. i am getting the haf-x case i have seen that it has space at the top for a 360 rad and a 120 "both are the 2 inch thick ones" at the back. will these rads be enough to cool an i7 970 and 2 gtx 590 hydro cards with the Rasa 750?

Not a water-cooling expert but looking at what Tom's using in the water-cooled rig just built (2 240s) you might be pushing it with a 360 and 120 to cool an i7 and 2 590s.

Rasa 750, as in the pump? Um no mate you couldnt get enough rads in that case and that pump is no where near enough.

Also 2x 590's? You need your head testing just get 2 580's

i have just googled about this and have seen may people in other forums using the rasa 750 for full steups with no problems what so ever

They probably haven't used the pump used in the 750 kit if they've done a fully water-cooled system, or if they have their system probably doesn't produce as much heat as your proposed system would.

the are using the combined pump and res rasa 750 with i7's a 4 ghz and some are even using 2 5970s.

If you have the money for those GPU's why use a cheap pump? Its utter pointless.

Plus if you ask for advise why argue when we tell you something. You need a decent pump for multi block set ups, and Id deffo get 2 single GPU's not 2 doubles.

2 Doubles is only any good for benching, a lot of games will run worse with a 2nd dual card.

bro dont go all whinny on us for trying to help you. Tom speaks from years of experience. Running 4gpus are solely benchers shit not gamers as there is no performance to be gained from using 4. There just arent any games out there (YET) that will befinit from it. And I'm betting (YET) is a long way off for that setup.

Now if you wanna do it just for e-peen then listen to what others are saying to push a cpu block and 2 dual gpu blocks you will need a serious pump. Its not just simply pumping water it has to do it fast and efficiently to maintain coolness

Pissing my pants laughing so hard right now. Dual d5's ftw and 4 360 rads with $27 delta fans.... rofl$ is not an issue with this guy. Dual 590's pfft.

Sheez dude, if you ever come back...

Even as a non-water cooler, I am of the understanding that we need at minimum for every chip we need a single block of radiator to not be worse than air cooling. So for your 5 chips, you'll need at minimum the 1x3 rad at the top and good luck finding a spot in the HAF X for the 1x2 rad to get any decent benefit from watercooling. And as stated above, that pump is not enough shove water sufficiently through 5 pinch points around the chips in these waterblocks. Just because Maxishine has it, doesn't mean you should.

Where do these people come from? If you can't take advise don't ask for it, the pump isn't enough and 2 590's is pointless. Anyone with half a brain cell could tell you that.
