All Minecraft blocks has turned invisible, even though the game worked a few days ago. Tried the following:

- Updating the GPU driver
- Both 32 and 64bit java
- Uinstall all mods / texture packs and game
- Mess with the game settings
- Installed OptiFine

Anyone has suggestions? All the ones I listed are ones I found online, cant find anything else.

What is the rest of your rig mate? My minecraft would do that on my old set up because for some reason Java didn't like my cpu much. Also what settings do you use on minecraft?

Oh god I haven't dealt with anything to do with minecraft in ages. Jeez

Its my friends setup, and I dont live nearby. Its an Intel Pentium G860 with 8GB Exceleram (White Sark). I dont know what settings she uses, but she says she's fiddled with all of them.

I just realized however shes running a beta version of the GPU driver, so im gonna have her remove it and get the official release instead and report back! :)

Chances are the CPU isn't doing the block generation quick enough or the game is out of ram. Check it isn't 32bit java.

She already tried 64bit Java. Not sure what I can do for her if the game is out of ram. Shes been playing it for ages and it happened randomly, so I doubt anythings wrong with the CPU.

What about re-installing the GPU-drivers?

O/T: I'm not the only one playing Minecraft here? :D

Shes currently installing the official release (uninstalled beta driver), will report back when shes done.

Never played MC myself, im a Terraria man myself. Never saw the point in MC since Terraria actually had objectives. :p

Good and bad news.

Minecraft works, but nothing else does. Whenever she opens a program (steam, skype etc.) it just says "xxx.exe has stopped working". I have never heard of such an issue from installing a new GPU driver.

She uninstalled via Add/Remove Programs, restarted PC and installed new driver, just like the AMD help page told one to. What in the world happened?
