Quick News

Discord is the best one better that TeamSpeak & Skype now Skype has turn into nothing but a joke but kinda knew that was going to happen when Microsoft brought them thank god i stop using Skype a long time ago.

I use TS and have never had problems although I have heard Discord and Mumble are the best in terms of latency etc.

Just Use TS coz my mate owns a TS server

Is the voice/sound quality on Discord better than Skype ?

Jump on our discord server and see for yourself. TS is excellent if you own your own server, I found mumble ok always seemed a bit laggy. But discord I love, so simple to use clear and SuB has a Bot to play with.

I didn't even know we had a dedicated voice channel ^_^

I'll jump on when I get the chance :)

Oh and apparently Bethesda decided to use aggressive compression for Skyrims sounds which has affected sound quality, Upon first launching it I thought it sounded a tad...off, PCGamer have a comparison -

Soundcloud comparison, Vanilla sound at the start followed by the awful special edition sound -

Didn't use the links. But I can say I noticed this too. I noticed some audio lag when characters speak. Like lips move faster than the audio. This would explain it

Yeah I was a little taken back at first to be honest as I love my music and sound in games and I initially thought something was wrong with my cans ^_^

Nah I'm happy with what I've got, Sennheiser 650's, Phillips X2's and DT770's, I have to stop now before it becomes too much of an obsession ^_^

haha I won't list mine I would be here all night

I'm glad I bought so many now though. Now that I have three desktops and a green flag to pretty much wipe my wife's desk (which means I can set up all three :D ) I will need them no doubt. I do switch them quite a lot as it goes. My B&O H6 are on my head as I type this as they're really fast paced and punchy. Really looking forward to having the room and extra plug sockets so I can get my Grados going again.

Aquacomputer are releasing a very snazzy looking CPU block with built in thermal readout -

I would say coolant temp? unless it connects via USB there's no accurate way of getting the CPU temps. It's a novel idea but not such a great one. I mean, who is going to want to stare into their rig and squint to read that when gaming? You're better off having it in the front of your rig or what not.

One again though it is stunning to look at, like all of AC's gear.

exactly!

Seems like a gimmick block many will fall for. Would much prefer an all in one solution like their own Aqua aero 6XT, or similar that can monitor all block, coolant, pressure, flow, fans etc etc.

Block isnt the most attractive of blocks either.

It's not their best work no. I like it when they combine copper and shiny silver.

If my blocks ever crack (that's the only thing left to worry about) then I would like a metal one. I've actually got one here that I wouldn't mind making a new top for (it has three holes but they're sloped for older fittings).
