Quick News

Isn't that exactly what the accusers are guilty of as well?

That article is all speculation. Has 0 creditability and/or legitimate source. People are just to quick to bind themselves to the first thing they see.

Even if true I don't see why people care so much. People want it for performance uplifts. Instead developers should be improving game performance, not relying on Upscaling technology to do the job for them. More aim should be focused on the root of the problem before we ride on Nvidia or AMD.

I fully agree devs should be upping performance prior to any upscaling feature, I'd personally only want DLSS as aside from the perf uplift it can nicely clean up an image, Get rid of pixel crawling etc... Crysis 3 Remastered is a good example. Even at 4K using the highest option of AA you can still get pixel crawling, Enable DLSS Quality and it vanishes instantly.

Oh joy and I only just got an ATX 3.0 PSU ^_^

We know you will just buy another PSU in 5mins anyway

How dare you..... 6 minutes at least... :D

On a serious note it's just the connector itself so PSU manufacturers like Corsair who have a proprietary connector on the PSU side can just bring out an updated cable.

Apparently Black Flag is being remade which is good news as the performance on PC is truly terrible even with a high end PC.

The Caribbean would look amazing with higher res textures, More up to date lighting techniques, Water physics etc....

Currently in early development so not likely to come out for 3+ years.

yeah its called Skull and Bones :D :D :D

The whole point of SnB was because everyone liked the sailing in AC Black Flag.

Square Enix has removed Denuvo from Forspoken

https://www.dsogaming.com/news/square-enix-has-removed-denuvo-from-forspoken/

Well well well, look what we’ve got here. It appears that Square Enix has just removed the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Forspoken. As such, those that boycotted the game can now purchase it. That is of course if anyone is still interested in this title.

Forspoken came out in January 2023 and had numerous stuttering issues, especially on PC systems with 16GB of RAM. As such, it will be interesting to see whether this Denuvo-free version runs better on older PC systems. So, I may test this version on our Intel Core i9 9900K system. That’s not a promise though as we’re currently busy with other upcoming PC games.

It’s also worth noting that Square Enix has improved the game’s performance since January. For instance, its March Update improved performance by 15%. Not only that, but Square Enix has improved the game’s ambient occlusion effects.

Technically speaking, Forspoken is currently in a better state than its launch version. So we can at least congratulate SE for not completely abandoning it. It’s funny really because Square Enix had previously dropped the ball with the PC version of NieR Automata. And NieR Automata is undoubtedly a better game than Forspoken.

Now while the Steam store page still lists Denuvo, we can clearly see that the publisher has removed it. My guess is that SE will update the Steam store page later this week.

Anyway, we’re not really surprised by the removal of the Denuvo anti-tamper tech from Forspoken. After all, the game flopped so SE is most likely doing its best to boost its sales. Let’s also not forget that Square Enix has removed it from numerous of its games. For example, The Diofield Chronicle, VALKYRIE ELYSIUM and TRIANGLE STRATEGY launched with Denuvo but no longer have it.

Stay tuned for more!
