The shady info about Facebook keeps coming, Big Screen Beta VR dev stated he was told by Facebook that they should join them as they will just crush them anyway and apparently there's a long list of VR developers that have been in a roundabout way basically threatened by Facebook.

I bet you zuckerberg isnt even aware of half the shady dealings that go on once he lets his executives get free reign on everything.
I didn't expect AMD to be this much behind.

DF had a 3080 for testing, they weren't allowed to release FPS or frame times, but they could compare it directly against 2080.

Its impressive results.
Up to 80% faster on average than a 2080, So probably around 30-40% faster than a 2080 Ti for nearly half the money of a new 2080 Ti FE, That's pretty damn impressive.
I honestly think ill end up with a 3090.
Personally couldn't justify it, I was actually thinking earlier "maybe I should get it for VR ?" but common sense took over XD
im thinking more towards upcoming titles. Really want to keep pushing this 240 hz monitor to its limit.
At the moment, replaying Mechwarrior 5 with butter smoothness feels like a whole new game. its so enjoyable.

ID's lead programmer says that 8gb will be the minimum VRAM needed soon. He also tweeted that you should buy a card "with as much on as you can afford" for the next gen games.
So the 3070 is already on borrowed time, and the sodding thing hasn't even come out yet LOL.
What did I say? about two hours ago? No trickery can make VRAM appear that is not there.
