Quick News

Watch them place the connector in the most awkward spot of all. With all power could be at the back right corner so its out of sight.

That's absolutely insane, like needing at least 1kW for the whole system insane. I can understand those kind of numbers for workstations and professional work, but for gaming? That's just ridiculous.
I don't agree. Flagship cards should be without limits. Give them 2 connectors for 1200W. 600W is perfectly fine. If you don't want nuclear reactor in your rig buy tamed ones. 3080, or Ti will give you close enough performance for a more reasonable power consumption.

The 3090 Ti i.e full GA102 die, Could use a PCI-E 5.0 feature, The new power connector will enable 600 watts of power draw :o

What I'll say regarding this is that it is ludicrous that today's GPUs use three 8-pin PCIe power connectors and that future cards could use more.

NV and AMD are working on multi-die GPUs, and on the high-end, that could mean very high power draws, especially while overclocking.

While a 600W cable seems insane, we already have GPUs with 450W power solutions. This cable needs to replace that and have additional headroom. That is why a 600W cable is needed.

We can't just keep adding more PCIe 8-pin power connectors to GPUs. We need something new.

Corsair are releasing a PSU 5v line balancer, Sounds like snake oil to me personally as a high end PSU should already be enough.

Looks like Corsairs "Elite Series Retention Kit" for their Capellix coolers to use on Intels upcoming socket also includes a new 4 point AM4 retention bracket so you don't need to use AMD's stock cheap plastic clips, Should also give more even contact between the IHS and cooler and as it secures more firmly to the motherboard it should in theory help with slight amounts of pump vibration.

That's cool but personally I'd rather they focus on energy efficiency and improved GPU performance so during game workloads there's more power to share between them and you're getting more fps/watt. That's there biggest draw back I think currently for gaming. Nvidia just outright wins the fps battle for mobile.

Still 16c in a laptop CPU is 10 more cores than my desktop :D

You can keep Colossus but man Id love to see Ghost on PC.

That said, maybe I should just play it on the PS4 Pro.....

Ghosts is going to look amazing on pc, as for colossus man that game i loved it and hated it , trying to get them timed achievements will age you 10 years and get you divorced even if some how your not married
