Quick News

Yep, People like to poopoo Asus boards, For some reason, But all of them have been rock solid for me.
It stung to learn that my ROG Strix z370-F was basically an entry level motherboard with fancy RGBs. I kinda pulled the trigger in a hurry during black friday (never again) assuming that Strix branding would be reserved for higher end components.

Not to mention trash firmware for like half a year after launch, but it was a new platform so that's understandable.

Would be cool if it was possible to install on a windows based PC/laptop. I'd try it out just to see if it worked.

If Apple let this happen I bet they'd get a lot more customers of other Apple products and they'd still have their Macs for the "top" Apple computing experience.

The people behind GPU-Z, TechPowerUp, Have made the latest DLSS2 DLL available for download due to many users finding out that replacing the slightly older version of a DLSS2 DLL with a newer one, 2.2.10.0 being the newest which as far as I know is found in DOOM Eternals latest update, Gives better visual clarity when objects are in motion, Less ghosting etc... when DLSS2 is enabled, Basically updating a games DLSS to the latest version.

https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/

Tested myself in CP2077 and definitely gives a noticeable visual improvement of it's slightly older DLSS2 version.

Uhmmm yeah thanks for letting me know Dice, i'll be sure to keep my old installer and pass that on to friends that need it.

No worries, I get that some data harvesting has to be done to see what type of systems people are running so they can optimise their software around more hardware and collect crash reports so they can iron out bugs, Those 2 things I am fine with, But the rest is highly intrusive and some of it downright shady.

Yep i agree, i don't mind a bit of informational data about the system and crash reports but that's as far as it should go.

This is exactly why Windows should be far more strict for all app permissions. Should be far more detailed and readily user adjustable. Apps should display all their permissions in one nice window. Kinda like mobile OS's, but more detailed and adapted for desktop use.

Yep and you should be able to completely block an apps access to the net in a few clicks rather than jumping through hoops with the Windows firewall which still lets apps get through.

Last non-spyware version of Audacity is 2.4.2. Anything from 3.0 and onward consider compromised since they were released after Muse bought it.

Audacity 2.4.2 will go down the same as uTorrent 2.2.1, the last safe version

I think Jim Sterling once called this out in the past as a definite option that Ubisoft would be doing in the future, and well here we go.

This isnt going to be pretty for ubisoft.

Assassin's Creed Infinity(project codename) is going to be a live service game and we will no longer be getting singular games.
Surprised nobody picked up on this.

Personally disappointed. Very much actually. I don't see this being a positive.

Not heard anything positive from it so far. Also not even sure how you make it immersive. Do we create a non influencial character that has no existence in history and work from there? Do we end up online being 1 of 5000 Leonidas characters running around?

I just cant see positives in it. If anything it will be another Division2. Fun until you hit max level and gear cap, then repetitive.

I could be way off because I haven't played a Assassin's Creed game in years and I know you have and really enjoyed them, but to me they feel very episodic already. They've used the same engine for a while now and the lore suits being this never-ending series. I know that for consumers it may not be the best because anything that is more financially beneficial to a company is often at the consumer's expense, but artistically and creatively I think an episodic version of Assassin's Creed actually makes sense.

I enjoy them but the last true AC was Syndicate. It's turned into RPG semi fantasy. I want it to go back to the roots. The RPG elements can make sense but as of now it's just used for grinding and forcing you to play a certain way. Games are still fun but I'm afraid with something like a service model, it'll turn more into RPG and less lore. They already did with Valhalla. It'll sell better but be less AC like.

Again it's still fun. But as you said it'll be for what sells. And that's not what I'm interested in. I want a full $60 worth of 100 hour gameplay and they are definitely not going to have enough time in a service model for that. Probably be expansion/large DLC releases every handful of months. Doesn't sound as appealing.

I think if it was a substitute for in-between the large single game releases that could work. Have the main game be the massive historical moments and then work on the next one, in-between can be expansions and DLC that can be full of ideas and or other time frames.
