And PS3 pad was supposed to be boomerang shaped. :P

TBH I can see there being touch screen as the tech is mature enough now that it doesn't cost that much for a touch screen, You can get a 10" Amazon Fire tablet with 720P IPS display, 8GB of storage, Front/rear facing cameras and wifi for £30, Scale that down to 1 inch and the cost is going to be tiny and very possible.

Early testing of RTX in BFV with the new Windows update that enables DXR, Performance is 50% less at 1080P and to add insult to injury for the early access hardware beta testers that paid Nvidia £1100, DX12 must be used which in itself causes frame hitching -

DX12 is a requirement for DXR. DXR is an extension of DX12. Also, DX12's issues have been addressed for the most part.

TBH we knew the performance impact long before launch. That was already worked out and solved, so expecting any more or less was a bit silly. We also knew it was going to be a step back to 1080p, too, even on the Ti.

I would imagine next year's RTX cards will be a crap ton better. We knew that too, so again it was buyer beware.

Not in BFV they haven't, JokerProductions did a good video of it and the hitching is very frequent, Same still happens in BF1, The Frostbite engine simply doesn't like DX12

Johnny Guru also confirmed issues with hyper threading. Disabling this on 6 and 8 core cpu will improve fps.

I tested this on the new patch, which was released this morning. It has been addressed for the most part. Very playable now with DX12. DX11 is still the most stable IMHO, but I tested the new patch this morning on my GTX 1080 with new drivers.

DX12 in BFV is still suffering from stutter and fps hitches once in a while. DICE have a few minor kinks to fix, but its a vast improvement to before.

So Nvidia finally admit to issues with the 2080Ti FE.

They cite early board version with faulty components. With later batches not having the problem. Seems that their QA missed this. GDDR6 possibly to blame, and confirmed that some users downclocking the memory resolved the issue.

Limited test escapes from early boards caused the issues some customers have experienced with RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition.

"Act in haste, repent at leisure" comes to mind. Ah well at least they've acknowledged there is an issue and can resolve it.
