Just came across the Samsung CJ89 43" super ultra wide monitor. Is 43" going to be the new standard to replace 34? 120hz. 32:10 aspect ratio looks nice. Basically two 1920x1200 monitors working together with no bezel.
It's marketed primarily at business but should be fun for gaming too. Link if you're interested. (Samsung AU)

Yea. I saw that somewhere. Too bad it is VA panel. That rules out video, and photo editing. But i could stretch my Reaper window, and all the VSTs, folders, loops... Joy of joys :D. They will be expensive, and i don't think they will become mainstream. Although it is nice to have the option.

$1499 Australian here so about the same price as an Acer X34P which isn't too bad considering.

OK that explains it. Tom and others got lower temps because it was being limited (4 phase). Other reviewers used more macho boards, temps were insane.

I do agree tbh. In theory it is bigger and meaner than the 8700k, by science (more cores etc) so therefore it should run hotter and use more power.

I've been looking at those. I think I will get one when they come out.

Its quite possible that you will get more annoyed by them. It all depends if your 24v connector lines up with the motherboard tray cut outs where you feed the cable through.

On the C700P it was horrible. I had to route the cables much further away to allow for the cable stiffness not to twist the motherboard itself.
