Quick News

Not to start a fight here, however my info comes from USA media. We have illegal firearms only. Yet no school or public shootings other than criminals shooting criminals. I went to a gun shop when I was in the USA. I saw a little boy and girl playing with real firearms (unloaded of course) in there given to them by their father. The level of absurdity I find beyond words. I go online to desert tech or Heckler and Koch and see fully automatic assault rifles labeled consumer models and find myself baffled by the association. I can understand the difference of interpretation between USA and non USA citizens on how they perceive all this. To me it just makes zero sense.

Perhaps this controversial game opens up a debate - people are certainly responding in disgust. Understandably so!

It will be so funny when they give up and never release this fractioned game as a whole finished product. I love the concept, however don't believe in its scope.

They are the guns n roses of the gaming industry.

Axel Rose took 15years to release his album under GnR, all that waiting and money spent on producing it... yet it was mediocre at best. Music evolved yet he didnt.

I see the same happening here. In order to keep up with the times it will need to be changed as it progress with slows down a release.

Yeah you've never seen fully automatic weapons in person or online. They don't exist on the consumer market. It's been outlawed for decades.

There's nothing wrong with kids using real firearms as long as they are responsible. If they know how to handle it and know it's not a toy it's fine.

Really you're information comes from the media as you said. So by default you're already misinformed and being indoctrinated by liberals. I'm not calling you out or anything but you can't have a debate over information from the media

Battlefield V minimum specs revealed. Same as BF1
pcgamer

In addition the confirmed features are 4 player co op mode, no loot boxes, no premium pass, all content will be free to not alienate the playerbase

Just like the good ol days. Paying for a complete game not 80% of content

Not really. These days games are turning into more of a service rather than buy once and forget.

Examples are LoL, Fortnite, other Free 2 play games, and Rainbow Six Siege is a good example of a AAA game turned into a service.

Fallout 3 remaster. Calling it now

I called it as soon as they contacted the people who were doing it and made them stop.

There was a Youtube video I posted a couple of months back with some hint that Bethesda dropped about "Falling out of their chairs". It was, however, 'apparently' debunked and called as BS. However, I know how controlling and secretive these game coders are (look at Gabe for inspiration) so they will have not liked that at all, and would instead wait for their chance to break the news.

Let's face it it's pretty obvious really. It has been 10 years this "fall" since FO3, and the cow is at bursting point desperately needing its teets pulled. They did not contact the people doing the FONV remake though, which says an awful lot.

Plus that logo up there has colour running through it, something I've never seen before.

I really hope they are, as it is literally begging for an overhaul. Whilst still one of the most complex and beautiful games (story wise etc) ever made it looks like dog toffee now.

Paying for the same game twice then - yawn. You're probably right!

I've paid for it about five times at least. LOL, that is what you get for buying all of the collector's editions bar one.

It's been ten years man. That is long enough. I still play it now and then, but I gotta admit it looks awful now.

If they do it well? take my money.

IMO the latest fallout looks awful as well, very outdated engine, especially when compared to some of the more modern engines. Fallout 4 becoming game of the year over the Witcher 3 was a paid for award I'm convinced, as the latter was better in every aspect, from story to graphics. Just my thoughts.

TSMC Details 5 nm Process Tech: Aggressive Scaling, But Thin Power and Performance Gains

Did we already had this posted??

At a special event last week, TSMC announced the first details about its 5 nm manufacturing technology that it plans to use sometime in 2020. CLN5 will be the company’s second fabrication process to use extreme ultraviolet (EUV) lithography, which is going to enable TSMC to aggressively increase its transistor density versus prior generations. However, when it comes to performance and power improvements, the gains do not look very significant.

The rather small, incremental improvements that TSMC is discussing for the CLN7FF to CLN7FF+ and CLN7FF+ to CLN5 transitions indicate that it gets increasingly harder to offer decent gains from generation to the next. It remains to be seen whether all of TSMC’s leading-edge customers will keep adopting all the latest process technologies that the company offers, or will miss certain cycles given small incremental increases, but large companies (such as Apple) adopted all the latest fabrication processes in the recent years (i.e., it made economic sense to adopt them).

Yes. Interesting thing is that GlobalFoundries plans to skip this node because of its limited performance.

It looks like 5nm may be the next 10nm, useful for mobile but not for CPUs and GPUs.

World War 3 announced alongside action-packed trailer

While the usual suspects in modern military shooters have headed back into the past for their latest outings, one developer is staying firmly rooted in the present. Today The Farm 51 unveiled World War 3, their shiny new modern FPS, in a flashy reveal trailer.

You may remember The Farm 51 from games like Painkiller: Hell and Damnation and World War II Online. But if you don’t, that’s okay - World War 3 looks like something that’s taking just as many cues from today’s games.

For instance, it’s a multiplayer-only game that features multiple modes, including - you guessed it - a spin on battle royale.

I'm so annoyed with these multi-player only games that leave so much campaign potential untapped. Everyone is just tapping into the same thing and modes, as I suspected about 10 years ago. Campaign FPS is very dead. Ugh.

AMD continues to make inroads on NVIDIA's marketshare

Jon Peddie Research have just released their latest look at the discrete GPU market, which has been doing significantly better than the PC market overall, for reasons we are all quite familiar with. While sales of full systems have declined 24.5%, GPU sales increased 6.4% over the past quarter and an impressive increase of 66.4% when compared to this time last year.

May be true however nvidas profit margins have only increased which means despite losing share, they still made more money while AMD has had to maintain the same prices which means smaller margins but more volume. As we know they aren't nearly making as much as Nvidia. So for them the situation doesn't really change

At 4k on ultra detail with Gameworks weapons etc it looks great. Oh, and the HD pack of course. It looked terrible at launch though yeah, can agree to that.

Not every one likes the same games dude. I played Witcher for about 3 hours, then got so bored I put it down and never played it again. It's all about the subject matter IMO, which game reviewers need to remain impartial to.
