If a 2.5" HDD is turned ON and placed 2 centimeters away from a large 29" CRT TV, will the electromagnetic fields from that TV enter the HDD and cause disorder, confusion, inaccuracy, interference with the movement of the read/write heads and arms?

Will it also affect the data platters?

my models is old drives
WD10JPVX‑08JC3T5 and HGST HTS541010A99E662, ST500LM030

Move them further away is the best bet.

There's really no way to know. Nobody is going to have a CRTV around to test it. I doubt it'll make any difference being close. Those TVs are shielded to lessen to external exposure.

Provided its not one of them 50-60s TV.
