Questions about UPS (Noob)

Hello all,

I'm looking to buy a new UPS cause my current one will not work with my current setup, Now i'm a UPS noob but i would like to buy a powerboard version.

Current power draw atm with my Z97 is 505 watts but once i get my X99 system down the power draw will go up to 583 watts. The wattage is from PCPartPicker.

So i was thinking about getting CyberPower BRICs LCD 1200 VA / 720 Watts UPS is this overkill for what i'm using or going to be using.

I'm just not sure that's why i'm looking for advice.

If you are going to buy a UPS treat it like a power supply and don't skimp on it you want either a simulated sinewave or a sinewave model anything else isn't really going to cut it. I use a sinewane UPS myself.

IMO but i could be way off but my issue with the sinewave is that it can't be mounted like a powerboard one, I would like to have the powerboard one so i can mount to my wall.

My idea is to have the UPS mounted to the wall and have one cable going to it so i will end up buying like a six plug powerboard so the normal powerboard can be mounted under my desk just to keep all of the power cables in one area.

I know that what i just type may sound silly to some people but to me it sounds right, Hopefully you will understand what i'm trying to say.

Well it IS an power supply after all: "UPS = Uninterruptible Power Supply" :lol:

I was looking at the Eaton to begin with but then i changed over to the Cyber Power one, Because the Cyber Power one was higher in wattage, TBH the Eaton one makes more sense for me cause i'm not looking for any bells or whistles like built in Displays or like built in USB plugs. I just want that's decent with nothing extra.
