Question About Water Cooling

I want to buy water cooling for my custom computer because it makes my room really hot. If I installed water cooling, would it cool my computer but still make my room hot? Or will it cool my computer and not give off any hot air?

Paul

no your room will still get hot, if anything it will get hotter due to the larger amount of heat the water cooling will displace from the cpu

not during the summer... what do you do to keep your room from getting too hot? I mean, when I play any game I start sweating from the heat.. and I'm not THAT overweight :D

I can't open the window in the summer because its hotter outside.. and if I turn up the air conditioning everyone else in my house will complain that it's too cold

Lol dude there's no solution really. Energy is never destroyed it only changes form ;) So all that heat needs to go somewhere. Open your window and close the blinds lol.

but during the summer more heat will come in

The breeze will still help. I read something a couple of days ago that said even a small flow of air can lower temperatures by up to like 7 degrees or something.

err I used to have a passively watercooled system and on those 'hot' occasions I'd drop the radiator out of the open window, obviously I had tubing length to do this and obviously my PC was on the ground floor but other than that, I'd say get some desk fans

hmm... that might work.. do you face the fan into your room or face it to the hallway to draw away the hot air?

I face it into the room. But the reverse may also work. Trial and error tbh

If all the fans on the back of your case are blowing the heat out, why not build some kind of exhaust unit...like a box covering the back of the pc, attached to a large flexible plastic tube (like on the old clothes dryers) and maybe a fan at the end of the tube?

Then just shove the tube outside your door or window, or whateva.

That might work, but how would i connect the box to the back and still have the wires running out?? I was thinking of buying a portable air conditioner.. you think that may help?

it uses water to cool the room?

:eh:

no risk at all mate, unless your room is very humid to start off with

any sort of aircon would be good but you should still get some sort of air exchange going on with outside really

I have the same exact problem with my PC, my Room overheats a lot, sometimes when the Ambience temp outside is 40C+, my Room temp will go in the excess of 50C+, But finally Monsoon Season is here n it feels cool now..

as for your problem, u really cant do anything about it :(.. the best thing u can do is, open up ur window, it has helped me a lot in lowering down the room temp before, i had to run on Stock cooling at Stock clocks n still my temps would go 70C+,

I cant wait to install my WC :P
