AMD loses their #2 rank in the top 10 of the world's biggest processor suppliers. This is the first time since the '90s. Qualcomm has taken the #2 spot and Samsung (+ Apple) have taken #3. AMD is now on the #4 spot on the list. As you can see; the top 10 is being dominated by the ARM-platform while the x86 PC market is shrinking.
AMD has lost 21% of their marketshare while Intel has lost 1%. Intel is still the leader in the top 10, owning more than 65% of the marketshare. Qualcomm has had a 28% increase, giving them 9.4% of the marketshare at this point in time, while Samsung (+Apple) show the biggest growth with a massive 78% increase.
