Quad Core Xeon Mac Pro

Hi

I have replaced my Mac Pro 2010 with a new PC Hackintosh. Its a Quad Core XEON 2.93 GHZ machine with 16gb of ram and one Radion video card (will check tonight) How do I contribute to the team and set it up as an F@H Client and join the OC3D team. Everyone here has been so very nice to me. Only thing the Mac Pro has on it right now is my iTunes library. Everything else gone to the Mini Mac Black Pro.

Thanks

They do have an OSX client, but I have never used it so not sure how well it works. You can find it on this page (scroll down, click start folding, then click see all downloads):

No idea what kind of performance to expect, but do report any numbers if you get it running. You may also want to get a passkey as well.

You can use any name you want while folding and our team number is 98860.

Welcome to the team!

Welcome to the team!:)

Check on the video card as it may provide some nice points per day. Not sure how it will be on OSX though...

Just as a test, as I have not gotten to the mac. Set up on my work computer Quad i7 860 @ 2.8GHz. With Radion HD 5700 series. No worries, I am the IT guy at my office so can test things.

Set it on Medium, and since its just running, have no points. FAHControl says I will get 10,325 ppd and its been running about 30 minutes. Is that ok, good, or bad. I am new, and this is the first time I setup. It is running my CPU, but so far no drag yet on the system. Have to see when I compile something if that happens.

Another question, is it common or OK to have a whole firm folding in off time/idle time. I could ask the bosses if they want to donate that time and 40+ machines folding on off hours for a good cause.

Thanks
