I know this is old tech by the forums standard, but these processors still have some life in them.
I'm running a Q6700 at 3.5Ghz with 1.424 Volts but I'm just wondering if this is ok as a 24/7 overclock.
It's behaving itself in everything but Prime where it's giving me incorrect answers and stopping individual workers (usually dumps a pair and maintains the other pair)
The MSI board i'm running (P35 Platinum) supports the overclock ok but I'm getting massive VDroop with apparently no way in which to compensate. It varies between 1.44 Volts and 1.38 Volts in HW Monitor. Is there another board for 775 Tech that supports VDroop compensation? Is it likely that my PSU is causing the Issue? (it's a temporary Hiper Unit)
All Suggestions welcome - I know this chip could hit 3.6+ without any problems and I'm not hitting temperature issues idle temp@24C stress temp max@49C
Cheers
