Well been on the phone looks like the next 4000 odd chips being sent will NOT be G0 stepping but B3's so we are now looking at september

Im sure you will be able to get them, but probably at a premium now given the news.

At least the USD is quite atm.

4 of my friends got their Q6600 GO cpu today, but he got them from oversea`s.

There is now a thread on at XS about UK stock.

So is this the golden sample Quad core that I been hearing about?

If so what are teh expectations for a G0 step Q6600, iirc it has a x8 multiplier so assuming you can manage 500mhz bus that means 4ghz, what cooling and volts would be required?

Cheers

Mav

@ Clone - Why aren't you banging in some 3d scores in the EPUK benching team with that set-up, sure need the help and your scores owuld be fantastic. Also, can you realy run the RAM on that EVGA at 2300mhz, excellent stuff if you can. Also, please PM me where you are getting ure G0 stepping quads.

its an x9 multi, so 4500MHz is the "easy" limit. Maybe 3800MHz with decent water?

2300 (1150) RAM is easy with an Ultra- mine benches 1170 all day long on default volts. I told ya the Ultra is a real step up Mav ;) :)

Best thing i did was sell both my 8800gtx`s and get the ultra, mine has the EK waterblock on it and ive had it at some mad speed`s :)

Got mine this morning:cool:

Not going to have time to test this ,as some of my family have come down from Scotland to vist us.

Ok stayed up late laste nite to try a wee test, still need to tweak the n/b &s/b volts and so on.

Please note this is not stable at the moment

FSB 445

Ram 2.35v

Cpu 1.55v

This is all i have messed about with at the moment as im still getting to grips with this board.

Promising results there guys - looking forward to seeing more EPUK benchmark entries on these.

@ Clone38 4ghz on water is fantastic - Can you up the RAM FSB to get even more peformance at same CPU clock speed?
