Hi overclockers

Can I use PVC tape or duct tape for Fan controller temperature sensor mounting?

Because tape who was for sensor mounting are not sticky

ok heres what ya do with temp sensors. TOSS THEM IN THE BIN!!! lol all they really do is add more wire clutter to your case. and dont really have a good use. If you must use them you dont want to cover them or they become useless bet get a double sided tape and put it on bottom of probe and stick it where ya want it.

I need those because when pc is at idle I want silence but when at load than I need good air flow.

And I need surface temps for example chipset, gpu and cpu then I need to cover those.

I still dont really understand why you need it and how heat sensors improve airflow?

I understand how they do it but I'm with you its the need thing lol. Basically I think he has a fan controller that adjusts the speeds by temp. IMHO when ur using it ramp em up if needed when ya walk away from it turn them down simples.

Because when temps reach treshold then fans ramp up.

I am too lazy and often forgot to manually adjust fans when pc are under load.

I have Scythe Kaze Server controller when pc are under load fans ramp up but when idle then controller turns off fans.

this is why I like my slide controller lol start game reach over push slides to full, walk away slide back to low simples plus I've heard not many good things about those controllers that do it automatically. Like the damn warning buzzer going off at the wrong times lol. But to each their own. Just get ya some double sided tape cut to size and stick it where ya want em. Again my best rec is the bin

The correct tape for attaching temperature probes is called kapton polyimide - The temperature capabilities of the tape and adhesive make it suitable for these applications.

You could use electrical insulation or duct tape but you'll find above 60 degrees ish the adhesive starts to breakdown and it's a nightmare to clean off in the event you get rid of the components.

I'm guessing the foil tape was a joke........................................
