Pump Questions

A few little thingies...

According to my measurements, I have just enough space in the bottom of watery for a DB-1 or a DDC.

I'd rather go for a DB-1 due to its top out-put (preffered!) and the fact its cheaper, but would it be able to get enough water through..:

MC-TDX

MC-Chippy

IONE

or would the DDC be a safer bet? Also, how is it on noise level?

Heres a pump question, how do I quieten a Laing DDC1T Pro? Because its loud and annoying....

Anyway to get it down to 20 - 25dba without severly reducing performance?

Wrap it up in some foam or knock the voltage down to 10v or sommit?

I guess... would reduce performance a bit.. I guess i could use a fan controller to change the speed so I could shove it to 12v for games and benches and knock it down to 7v for general use :D

Thats safe to do with this thing, right? I didnt think one 3pin was enough to power the pump, doesnt make mine work.

Yeah as long as the fan controller can cope with the power draw of the pump then it shud be fine. TBH i have no idea what the DDC draws, but I remember the D5 used to be around 12w.

Aquacomputer make a decent pump controller that sits in a 3.5" bay and is controlled via software.

I atch did a review on it but there was a kaffuffle and it got deleted form the system...

Ill find a link

So im assuming you change the speed ofthe pump in windows then?

The version without the front seems usefull, as a stacker needs instillation of 3.5" drive holder :D

Dont solidly mount it to the case (the vibrations are magnified to the case )

I use o-rings on all the mounts.

It is, but it is still 2 loud for me to sleep through :D

Generally quiet though..

say i bought this:

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=BB-000-SY&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=189

Scythe Kama-Meter Multi Functional Controller

It can control the RPM of fans and adjust voltage etc to do that. You think this would be enough to supply power to the pump? The other thing doesnt seem to be in stock anywhere at the moment and I was hoping to order tonight.

Ok so I got one of those pump controllers, anyone know how to sue it? because its just being a pain in the ass at the moment..

edit: dw i figured it out..
