PSU replacement !

well i got a Silverstone Strider 750 Plus 750W Modular Power Supply ATX 24PIN 135mm Fan 60A 80+ Silver Black like 4 weeks ago and it has died ? don't ask I don't know but at the local computer store were I got it he has 2 more higher end PSU that he will give me for the setback there is only 2 and he will not order more for me so I have the chose of these two.

1.OCZ ZX Series 850W ATX12V 24PIN Active PFC 80 Plus Gold 70A Power Supply 140MM Fan Black 5 Yr Wrty

2.Cougar GX Series GX1050 1050W ATX 24PIN 12V 80PLUS Gold 140MM Modular Power Supply\

I find the Cougar looks sick but have never had one.

OCZ PSU's are ok, but are not the best. Cougar's stuff is really good though, looks awesome too. Although going from 750W to 1050W sounds like a bit of a waste of money. You could always buy a Cougar GX800 online and save some money over the 1050W version.

Out of the 2 I would choose the Cougar PSU, as they are nice units and I would say they are much more reliable than the OCZ units , which used to be really good however recently I have noticed a lot of them failing.

i am not paying more the store has these two left as of good PSU so the owner is just going to switch it out for me seeing as the one I just got the Silverstone Strider 750 Plus died a little less then 4 weeks so he is offering these two as a replacement for me!

I would go with the Corsair AX850W instead of the OCZ. It's a much better brand, performance is better, and you can find it for about the same price.
