My PSU.. a 680w TT is clicking like crazy, i know this is the voltage being changed however recently it is going way over the top and im concerned. Is there any reason why in the summer this would increase and what do you suggest i do?

thnx - james

Maybe allow an extra 80 or 120mm fan to push air through mate?

Could be RMA........ not sure if I gave you the receipt or if I had it, I will need to dig around if thats the case mate as I moved house earlier this year.

sounds like a relay breaking down due to heat problems, like mav said put a extra 80-120 fan to push air though it.

Whats a relay? and ive placed another fan on it.. to no avail. Just had the scare of my life too... PC refused to turn on.. went for a loo came back and it worked. Dont think this PSU is gonna last much longer. Im gonna try find the receipt and just hope they take it back cus i pretty badly sctratched it when i put it in the case.

Relays usually click if the over-current protection circuitry is being tripped. Most proable cause if the PSU is being run within limits, is a faulty capacitor within the supply itself.

As Clone38 said best to get it out before it causes damage downstream, psu breakdown is very unpredictable, psu shutdown best case scenario, component breakdown wors case scenariot...
