Hy guys & girls!
I'm new on this forum,so first I would like to say sorry if I do something wrong about pics (still didn't get how it works).I will update this thread,if I get enything new.I will do some real photos of rig when gpu come.
So,all this, mods, I did in april, but now I have decited to post it here.
Project isn't sponsored as you can see,so everything is paid by me.
End will be when I put loop in it.But to be earnest,no end for this.
Spec:
i7 4770K w/ Corsair H110 push
MSI z87 Mpower MAX
KingstonHyperX 4x4GB DDR3 16GB
KingstonHyperX SSD 3k 120GB
WD Caviar Blue 500GB
OCZ ZX850 850W
Corsair Carbide 500R
-x2 AF120mm white led
-x2 AF140mm white led
-G.skill turbulence ram cooler (just for esthetics)
-24pin, 8pin ATX,front panel all sleeved
-LEDs
everything packed up in 500R (Corsair)
I. PAINTING
-case taken apart, rly ez,if someone don't know how to do it,pls don't mess with it.Alo taken apart CD-ROM.Rly ugly thing.
-my case is combo of black and metallic grey colour.Black isn't so bad,but that grey is so.... it sucks.
-parts are preparing for paint with sandpaper. Not sure which I used,so I can't tell for sure,I thinks it's for final brush.
-black colour went directly, but yellow colour had to wait.First I had to put white, then yellow colour. One night of drying, and still wasn't dry.
-this is the final result:
II. SLEEVING
-x2 8pin ATX (extensions)
-x1 24pin ATX (extension)
-x2 Y 4pin splitter
-front panel (I will do it again,I was terrible
-vents
III. H110 push mod Corsair 500R
500R is great case, but,it can't fit H110 in push.I had to change it.
I expend the "cable" hole.Really easy.If someone planning to do this,he can also do "copy-paste" method. With paper you can transfer the shape from one side to another.
Then new problem.Top grill can't fit in,cos rad is too big.Plastic framework is just too big.U have to cut middle piece, and reduce side plastic.Check picture, how it looks now.
IV. SIDE PANEL
When u have great build, you have to show off. With stock mesh u can't,but with plexi window,u can. Here it is.
First I cut corners and tryed to made them as straight as possible, then I prepare panel for painting. Then with drill I did some holes.I marked them with help of plexi.
I bought screws which match to the holes on the plexi and nuts for them.
I will put a scheme of it.You don't need top and bottom middle holes.
Happy gaming,benchmarking and overclocking!
It will be continued...
